To qualify to be a HUB recognized business, our company must demonstrate at least 51% ownership and control over the business's daily operations and meet the criteria for economic disadvantage as one or more of the following: Asian Pacific American, Black American, Hispanic American, Native American, American woman, and/or a Service-Disabled Veteran with a service-related disability rating of 20% or higher.
Furthermore, the applicant owner is required to:
Be a U.S. Citizen.
Provide proof of at least six months of residency in Texas.
Demonstrate control over the business's day-to-day operations.
Hold a company title that aligns with the ownership and control requirements.
The applicant business itself must:
Have its primary business location in Texas.
Prove that its principal place of business is within Texas.
Be a for-profit entity that does not exceed the size standards outlined in 34 TAC §20.294.
